What experience do you bring to guiding: I have hiked and biclyed extensively and led tours with friends all over North America and Internationally.

What advice would you give a NEW customer on a Timberline Tour? Take time to enjoy the moement and appreciate the locaiton you are in

What trip to do in 2013? Any to get me out of the office!! Haha, just kidding. Point Reyes sounds beautiful. As well as any in Colorado... Oh wait! New Mexico too... Oh, and of course the Grand Canyon.

Extreme sports: Ice and rock climbing, 1680 mile self support tour of NM to BC, Hele skiing and trail running

Number of years guiding with Timberline: 3, althought, I'm a 20 year customer

Favorite food: I eat to ride and ride to eat! I really do love fresh salmon, but in my daily life I thrive on popcorn and bread.

Favorite movie: Groudhog Day, very funny with the underlying message that the positive things you do for people make all the difference.

Favorite Timberline trip: Without a doubt, last years biking Odyssey in the Canadian Maritmes.

Hobbies: Photography, reading, exploring new places and favorite old places like Utah's canyon country.

What you will take with you on each trip you guide this summer: Too many cameras and lenses, just ask anyone who's picked up that bag.

Pets: Currently 2 cats, and fostering 2 other young cats from the Summit County Animal Shelter, where I spend a lot of time volunteering.

What experience's do you bring to guiding: I have experience as a leader of the Outdoor club, a high school organization that led kids on ski, bike, rafting and hiking trips around Colorado.

Please list your favorite places to visit: Although I love to travel overseas and experience adventure and culture in other countries and have even lived in Australia for a year, I still love being in the Rocky Mountains.

What are your favorite hobbies: Skiing, hiking, biking, fly-fishing, golfing and SCUBA

Which of the Timberline Trips in 2013 would you most like to go on? Glacier NP, Yosemite NP and the Canadian Rockies

What advice would you give a NEW customer on a Timberline Tour? My advice to new customers AND guides is to "focus on the journey and not the destination."

What will you take with you on each trip you guide this year? My camera and notebook

Most recent wildlife sighting: Red fox and a herd of elk!

Hobbies: Hiking, (while identifying wildflowers and taking pictures), cycling, reading, skiing (downhill and xcountry), snowshoe, swim, and any other outdoor adventures I can find time for.

Favorite Timberline trip: The one I'm on (really). Love to meet new guests and reacquainting with vets I've met on past tours. A few highlights: Riding around Carter Lake and flourless chocolate cake overlooking the lake (Rogue River Rambler); the breathtaking, enormous mountains in Canada, incredible views hiking and biking; the stillness, tranquility of Capitol Reef/Escalante hikes; the best of both, hiker-biker in Glacier/Waterton

Things I will take with me this season while guiding: Sense of adventure (it is Timberline Adventures!), sunscreen and snacks

What experiences do you bring to guiding: 26 yesrs in 6 National Parks working as a National Park Ranger, most recently in Rocky Mountain National Park.
